More and more insurance companies accept dental hygienists as service providers and reimburse clients who receive preventive dental hygiene treatment in an independent practice like ours. We advise our clients to contact their insurance companies for the exact coverage of their dental plan.

The following insurance companies are providing reimbursement for dental hygiene services.

* Federal Pensioners Dental Plan, administered by Sun Life Financial - April 2006

* Ontario government, Children In Need of Treatment Program (CINOT) - 2006

* Desjardins Financial Security - 2007

* Blue Cross - January 2008

* Veterans Affairs of Canada (VAC) and Canadian Forces (CF)- January 2008

* Great West Life - January 2008. Plan sponsors will automatically be provided with this coverage unless they advise Great West Life that they do not wish to offer this coverage. Any charges for examinations or assessments will be applied towards the plan frequency limits for dental exams.
